Very small error in Howston G4 upgrade file
There's a very small typo (I guess?) in the Howston G4's upgrade file. With the 2 1969-upgrades it says on line 148 and 233 HDV={FRONTWING] instead of HDV=[FRONTWING].

HELP - Cockpit view changed
Very strange one..I've not touched this for a while but grabbed the new car updates and went to have a look but now my cockpit view has changed (on all cars I have tried) Now I cannot get my seat high enough to line up my steering wheel. This was never an issue before. My FOV is 70, I use superFOV setup. I cannot for the life of me work it out. I cannot see any settings in player folder to change, it's almost as though I am using a pitch option somewhere, but I'm not.
Can I look in/edit json files?
EDIT: I don't believe this, just tried it again ad it's perfectly fine. I spent ages last night and this evening trying to work it out. I'll come back again if I have another issue :s

Not dark at night
I have a problem with racing at night. With HDR turned off it is not getting very dark at night. With HDR turned on everything works like it should. I attached two screenshot.
What i allready tried was deleting the cbash an shaders data. Anyone any idea whats wrong?

I. Need. Inspiration.
For what you say? Sim racing setups/rigs/what ever you wanna call it.
I want to see where you race, and with what, how you've set it all up.
From full-on rigs, all the way down to the most basic desk setups.
I'm looking to make some changes in the near future, and I'd love to see how you're set up for sim racing at home. :)

Questions about Indianapolis Oval setup
Hi all,
I have a couple of issues with the oval version of Indianapolis and hope some of you have some kind of answers to them.
1: Since the driving direction is opposite in the oval setup that the rest, I haven't figures out where the pit sign/traffic light is in the oval direction. I get a lot of stop 'n go's on that account. Do you know where it is?
2: Does any of you experience below-track camera position when seeing replay from Indy Oval? If so, is it a bug?

Any chance of getting plugins for 64bit versions of MAX
Hello, as I understand that currently the plugin tools will not work with 64 bit versions of 3ds Max. With the recent release and move towards 64bit compatibility is there any chance that we will be getting updated plugins. I would like to start working on some mods/tracks, but I'm not ready to install a 2nd, older version of max just to put my stuff in RF2. For those with newer versions of MAX, not sure what year, but you can't even get a 32bit version of MAX 2015.
Any updates from ISI would be greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance for your time.

Reverse tracks needed
There really needs a reverse option needed for all the tracks and layouts. Playing tracks in reverse in rF1 was an amazing joy, it's pretty much just a totally different track that has nothing to do with the non-reverse version. Going through the last sector at Toban in reverse, going up the steep hill at Essington, all the Mills layouts in reverse, etc etc. This would instantly double the tracks.
A track in reverse is absolutely it's own unique experience with a completely different set of challenges and "feel" to the non-reverse version. Some tracks in reverse are a freaking legendary driving experience.
We really need this.

Nvidia G-sync
Ciao a tutti,
sono un fortunato possessore di Asus ROG Swift PG278Q, lo schermo da 27" con risoluzione 2560 x 1440 con appunto il famigerato G-sync e volevo condividere con voi la mia esperienza. Il G-sync brevemente è un accrocchio studiato da n-vidia per sincronizzare gli fps della scheda video (spesso e volentieri molto variabili) con il refresh del monitor (solitamente fissi) per garantire la massima fluidità senza suttering (rallentamenti ) o theatring (immagini spezzettate). Il monitor è un 27" e ha una risoluzione maggiore al tradizionale HD e anche se è un TN , ha comunque una buona resa visiva (dal mio punto di vista), ma per i giochi diventa veramente eccellente! In primis perché la risoluzione permette di vedere quei dettagli che prima sfuggivano e da un senso di full immersion, e in secondo perché il G-sync funziona davvero bene.... Calcolando che i driver sia per la risoluzione del monitor che per il G-sync a mio modo di vedere sono un po' acerbi, ma nonostante questo, se supero i 48 fps le immaggini sono fluidissime e non c'è differenza tra 48 e 95!!! La resa visiva e le sensazioni sono medesime!! Detto ciò per spingere un monito così ho una GTX 780 e riesco a giocare tutto al massimo (disattivo solo il filtro fxaa perché non mi piace molto) tenendo di media oltre i 60 fps. Io per tenermi un p'ò di margine ho impostato il "maxframerate " a 55 e gira tutto che è un piacere..... e senza v-sync!
Ps io dovevo cambiare monitor da circa 1 anno e volevo il sistema G-sync, inoltre mi ero messo da parte un bel gruzzoletto perché questo monitor costa..... (è il prezzo attualmente è salito ancora....)
Il mio consiglio è che se avete una config singolo monitor, una scheda nvida e volete cambiare monitor andate su G-sync! (magari aspettando un po' perché i prezzi adesso sono ancora un po' alti.... e i monitor stanno per uscire)
I contro è che se avete una config con tre monitor (a meno di non avere tre schede video) non potete utilizzare tale tecnologia (una scheda video un monitor.... per ora....)
Ed ora vi lascio con un paio di domande che non mi danno pace:
1) Ma la pista di Mils Metroparck esiste davvero??
2)Si può cambiare la disposizione degli HUD impostati da ISI???

server connection problems
Hi
On several occasions I've tried unsuccessfully to connect to the server to enjoy race to play in rfactor.
Every time it seems to connect for a few seconds and then disconnects. I've gone into settings for connection and tried different ones without success.
Can anybody help me with getting the best settings in order to enjoy some competitive racing, I'm in the UK.

Probleme beim Runterschalten
Hi all,
hoffe hier kann mir jemand bei meinen Problem helfen.
Wenn ich rf2 fahre habe ich das Problem wenn ich z.B aus dem 4. oder höheren Gang runterschalte er manchmal sofort in die Neutralstellung springt.
Was habe ich schon probiert: Lenkrad neu kallibriert, player.json datei repeat shift auf 1-5 erhöht, Tasten neu belegt, alle tasten die ich nicht benötige deaktiviert.
Leider hat bis jetzt nichts geholfen.
Benutze ein TM Wheel mit GT Lenkrad.
Bei anderen Sims absolut keine Probleme.

Issues with Indianapolis Oval
Hi,
I have two problems with the Indianapolis Oval circuit which I think are bugs. First, I can't find the pit signal / traffic light when exiting the pit, which gives me a lot of stop n' go's.
Second, there seems to be a problem with one of the replay cams, showing from beneath the track. This looks very strange.

Position of axles relative to CG
I posted elsewhere in the forum and got no reply.
Can someone give me a clue? I have been unable to find an answer in the hdv file.
I want to be able to position the axles to calculate the leverage of wings and diffuser to analyze aero data of cars.

Historix and championship mode
I am finding two problems with trying to use the CDP or whatever third party custom championship creation tool thingy to create a championship using the HGTTC mod. First problem is that there is only one class to select ; HGTTC. Second is that there are no tracks to select. Nite that I can use this tool with other mods but only Historix has problem. So if anyone can help me by confirming should not work with this tool or should work with tool and any ideas his to get it to work. Secondly, do I even need the third party tool? Does rF1 support creating championships just by manual file manipulation and is there instructions or guide somewhere for how to do?

Dumb question: spot lights?
I'm feeling really dumb at the moment. I can't seem to get spot lights to work at all in my little test track in the viewer. Are cars the only things that can use spot lights? I have 'omni' enabled on my instances (I can see omni light on my geo).
Here is my scn file entry:
The position is accurate, it's right next to my omni. I'm stumped.
I checked the TrackTechnology.pdf, I've checked the wiki, I've searched the forum. What stupid thing am I doing wrong that I seem to be the only one who can't properly create spot lights.

Ciao a tutti, ormai da giugno dopo essermi stancato di rf 1, ho deciso di usare solo ad rf2, ed è tutta un altra storia, ora mi chiedo. .ma come mai dopo 25 anni di rf1 che x me è morto sepolto, vedo modder che continuano a fare conversioni x rf1?? X rf2 di mod serie ce ne sono poche, apparte le isi dtm e urd a pagamento, vorrei cercare di capire...
